New patients
Your first visit, step by step
Teens usually come with a parent or guardian. Adults are welcome to bring someone too.
Step 1: Before you come
Fill in the health history on our private patient portal, and bring your dental insurance card if you have one.
Step 2: The first 10 minutes
Eric or Alyssa greets you and shows you around. Nobody rushes you into the chair.
Step 3: The exam
The orthodontist looks at your teeth and bite and may take photos. X-rays are taken only if they are needed.
Step 4: The plan and the estimate
You hear the options and leave with a written estimate and a range for how long treatment could take.
What a parent should know
Treatment starts when you say it does, not at the first visit.
The first visit is for answers. You hear what the orthodontist sees, what the options are and what waiting would mean. A parent or guardian signs for anyone under 18, and you take the estimate home before you decide.
Booked before or after school
The estimate is written down
You can ask the same questions twice
